MCDC administers the Pennsylvania Small Business First Fund (SBFF) in Montgomery County. This fund provides qualified businesses with up to $200,000 or half of a total project cost, whichever is less. The current interest rate is fixed at 4% for the term of the loan.

Manufacturing and Industrial
Hotels, motels or restaurants
Agricultural processors
Export-related, advanced technology and computer-related services
Environmental compliance/pollution prevention
Municipal or commercial recyclers
Defense-related
Permitted Uses of the Loan:
Land and building acquisition and construction
Machinery and equipment purchases and upgrades
Environmental compliance/pollution prevention
Terms of the Loan:
15 years for land and building purchases/constuction
10 years for machinery and equipment purchases
3 years for working capital
Job Requirements:
1 job created or retained for every $25,000 borrowed from SBF
